At first glance, Aerocomfort 3.1 may look like a typical soft bike bag with no internal protection. But don’t be fooled. EXPANDABLE HANDLEBAR AREA
Modern bikes with integrated handlebars and electronic shifting systems can be tricky to disassemble. With Aerocomfort, no tools are needed and almost nothing needs to be removed. Just take off the two wheels leave the pedals, handlebars, saddle, and seatpost exactly as they are. Your bike fitting stays perfectly intact, ready for the next ride as soon as you land.
DURASHIELD™ EXTERNAL ARMOUR
Completing the protective system, the external Durashield™ hard shields, positioned in the most exposed areas of the bag, absorb and deflect sudden impacts, safeguarding the bag itself. The corners are reinforced with a double rubberized anti-abrasion edging.

Ich hatte die Tasche inzwischen im Urlaub im Einsatz und bin wirklich positiv überrascht. Anfangs war ich etwas skeptisch, ob sie für den Transport eines Fahrrads im Flugzeug tatsächlich ausreichend Schutz bietet. Nach meiner Erfahrung kann ich aber sagen: Sie hat mich absolut überzeugt.
Das Fahrrad sitzt sicher und fest in der Tasche, und alle empfindlichen Stellen sind sehr gut geschützt. Sicherheitshalber habe ich zusätzlich mein Schaltwerk demontiert, um es noch besser vor möglichen Stößen zu schützen.
Besonders praktisch fand ich, dass neben dem Fahrrad noch erstaunlich viel Platz für weiteres Gepäck vorhanden ist. Da ich die Tasche für den Rückflug einer Bikepacking-Tour genutzt habe, konnte ich problemlos meine Taschen, den Helm und weiteres Zubehör darin verstauen.
Den Flug haben sowohl mein Fahrrad als auch die Tasche selbst völlig unbeschadet überstanden. Genutzt habe ich sie ohne dem separaten Schutz-Kit, da hier vermutlich mein Lenker mit 54cm in den Drops etwas zu breit ist, stattdessen habe ich nur zusätzlich etwas ausgepolstert. Leider war bei Erhalt der Tasche die Vordergabelbefestigung verbogen, was natürlich schade war. Die Tasche ließ sich trotzdem problemlos für meinen Flug nutzen, und nach einem extrem schnellen und unkomplizierten Kontakt mit dem Support erhielt ich direkt passenden Ersatz. Das war wirklich vorbildlich. :)
Neben dem Flug habe ich die Tasche auch bereits in der Deutschen Bahn verwendet und konnte in Regionalzügen bislang sogar auf ein Fahrradticket verzichten. Wie sie sich im ICE bewährt, werde ich demnächst noch testen.
Alles in allem ist die Tasche wirklich toll. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Excellent bag. I’ve used the standard Scicon Aerocomfort 3.0 for the last few years and found it a bit short in length for my larger frame. The protection was really good but we all know TSA could dent a pillow. I’ve had no damage (knock on wood) thus far. For those that ride a larger frame (I’m a 58) this bag allows addition room so that the forks aren’t pressed against the front of the bag. It also has a wider bar size for those using wider bars.
Practical and efficient bike packing. Easy and no adjustments to the bike needed. Just pack and unpack, then off we go riding.

Smart design, easy to pack and easy to move through airports. I’d recommend purchasing the extra handlebar and seat-stay padding, particularly if you’re checking through multiple connecting flights.

This bike bag ticks all the boxes and removes the issue of dismantling my bike before travel.
It also looks cool.
The downside is it's larger than the QANTAS allowed bike box. So avoid them!

Really great bag, easy to pack the bike up and vice versa. Only improvement would be more padding for the rotors in the wheel area and a derailleur padding that comes with the bag not requiring additional payment.

I had the areo 3.0 and loved the soft case. Never had anything broken due to airlines. I have a bent zipper so I decided to upgrade to a dedicated gravel bag. I’m assuming the airline f’ed up the zipper but I didn’t notice until I got home.
